At 12:30 at noon on the eve of the Chinese Spring Festival on February 9^th, 2013, the Grand Ceremony of Dreams, the last event of the second season of Dream Choir, a large public interest television program created by the China Central Television, was aired on Channel 1 of the China Central Television. The program has been carried out for the purpose of “lighting up public interest initiatives with music and passing on dreams with songs”. Eight choruses participated in the competition and won a total of RMB 3.8 million yuan donations sponsored exclusively by the CMS, respectively for the eight public interest charity projects represented by these choruses. They jointly wrote a brilliant chapter of charity initiatives.

Wang Yan, CMS president and CEO, attended the Grand Ceremony of Dreams and indicated, “over the two years, the CMS and Dream Choir worked together to bring care and warmth to children who need help and light up a lamp on their path of growth. We believe that the kindling of love we sow today will allow more lives in the world to have the light of hope tomorrow.”

Dream Choiris an attempt of the media to lead and create China’s culture of public interest and charity. It is also a successful case for the enterprises and the media to cooperate to promote the charity undertakings. This year, the Dream Choir achieved an excellent performance of 2.158% audience rating nationwide. The CMS’s charity acts let more enterprises feel the call of charity and, one after another, join the rank of giving more donations and helping disadvantaged groups.

Then the CMS will continue to follow up the implementation of these eight public interest and charity projects until these projects are all landed or completed to ensure that the people to whom aid is given can get real help. Small trickling streams will eventually gather into a big river. Many bits of love and care can warm up the entire cold winter. Just like relevant persons-in-charge of the CMS have said, “Helping them (disadvantaged groups) realize their dreams is also our dreams in the CMS”.
