China Merchants Securities released the China’s Urban Residents’ Investment Confidence and Intentions Indexes Report (1^st Quarter of 2011). The research result shows that, in the first quarter, there was a considerable increase of the investment confidence index in real estate, stocks, funds and investment insurance products on a quarter-on-quarter basis, while investment intentions index remains about the same; there has also been a significant increase on investment confidence and intentions indexes in gold, bank wealth management products and bonds. It indicates that, in the first quarter of 2011, residents remain positive about the overall investment market of the next three months, and the overall investment confidence and intentions indexes maintain the upward trend.
