China Merchants Securities (CMS) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Huarong Asset Management Co., Ltd. in Beijing on July 4. CMS chairman Gong Shaolin and China Huarong chairman Lai Xiaomin attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice president Deng Xiaoli from CMS and vice president Wang Lihua from China Huarong signed in the agreement on behalf of the two parties.

Before the signing, the two parties reached a consensus on reinforcing mutual comprehensive business cooperation. According to the agreement, the two will work in all-round strategic cooperation to achieve resource sharing by following the principles of "reciprocity based on equality, complementary advantages, and resource sharing". Treating each other as an important strategic partner, CMS and China Huarong will join hands and communicate extensively in multiple respects, such as investment bank business, asset securitization, constant return business, brokerage, asset management, global commodities, and futures business.

 

Chairman Gong has indicated in his speech that he appreciates the exceptional and leapfrog development China Huarong achieved since its establishment, especially since the year 2009. He said that CMS and China Huarong would make great accomplishment through their strategic cooperation in the large asset management era. At present, the two have sound collaboration in the designated placement and other projects of CMS and will fully unlock their strength to consolidate their ties, interwork with and help each other to form strategic partnership. Both parties are trying to find cooperation opportunities in specific projects as soon as possible to implement the strategic cooperation framework agreement. The two signed the agreement in a pleasant atmosphere.
