Adream Center
The Adream Center was established by the Shanghai Adream Foundation. It is committed to change the current situation in education in China. Through systematically providing public interest products and services, the center helps children in remote villages and those of peasant workers in the city to explore bigger world and experience richer life. The Adream program provides systematic and standardized infrastructure support to schools that receive donations and builds Adream centers for them and train youth teachers. Quality education ideas, such as balanced character, innovative spirit and diversified exploration, are injected into traditional education spaces. A uniform and standardized model of public interest program is established in terms of both form and connotation.
In 2011, the program became one of the recommended programs in the Dream Choir, a large public interest and charity television program produced by China Central Television. As a sole provider of the public interest and charity funds, the China Merchants Securities provided RMB 300,000 yuan to the program to build Adream centers in three schools for children of peasant workers in Shenzhen, respectively the Dongwan Elementary School, the Chaguang Elementary School and the Fuhua School. The centers were put into use after the schools opened for the new semester in September, 2012.
