Hailuogou Chain Bridge
The "Sichuan Ganzi Prefecture Hailuogou Charity Bridge Project" is a project for people's livelihood implemented with China Merchants Securities donation to convenience the communication and traveling of people around the Yanzigou in the Taiping Village of Xinxing Township in the Hailuogou region. Under nearly one year construction, the bridge is about to be completed. After the completion of the bridge, residents in the Taiping Village in Xinxing Township will have great convenience in communication. Over 3,000 people will benefit from this project and it will effectively improve the village's economy.
The total construction cost of the bridge amounts to RMB 605,000 yuan. Among it, RMB 500,000 is from the donation of China Merchants Securities and the rest is raised by local government. After the completion of the project, local township government will allocate special funds to provide anticorrosion and antirust maintenance to the iron chains on the bridge so that the bridge can retain normal operation for twenty years. The bridge will be named as "CMS Charity Bridge".
At present, the bridge is about to be completed. By the end of July, local government will conduct acceptance inspection and it is estimated that it will be put into use in September.
